Reminder

The City of Lamar Water Department reminds residents to keep both hot and cold indoor faucets dripping during periods of extreme cold (20°F and below) to help prevent water lines from freezing and potentially bursting. Residents are also asked to ensure that water meter pits remain accessible and that meter pit lids stay securely in place to provide added insulation and allow for quick access in case of emergencies. If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at 719-336-2002 during regular business hours.

A reminder to keep both hot and cold water dripping to prevent frozen pipes during frigid temperatures.
