MANDATORY WATER RESTRICTIONS

 Applicability

These restrictions apply to all customers using the City of Lamar’s water system, including "outside users" residing beyond City limits. Failure to comply may result in fines or service restrictions.

Stage 2 Watering Schedule

Outdoor watering is limited to three days per week based on your address. No watering is permitted on Fridays.

Odd-Numbered Addresses       Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday                 No watering between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Even-Numbered Addresses     Monday, Wednesday, Saturday        No watering between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

• Property Limit: Maximum of 3 hours per property, per day.
• Area Limit: Maximum of 15 minutes per specific area/zone.

Specific Usage Rules

• Landscaping: Flowers, trees, shrubs, and gardens may be watered only during your assigned days/hours using a drip system, bubbler, or hand-held nozzle.
• Prohibited: Adding water to swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, or fountains is strictly prohibited.
• Surfaces: Do not use hoses to wash sidewalks, driveways, patios, or parking lots.
• Vehicles: Car washing is allowed only if the car is parked on a grass area and you use a bucket or a hose with a positive shut-off nozzle.
