Engaging with City Council

The Lamar City Council welcomes citizen feedback to verify priorities and opportunities and highlight areas of concern. When engaging with Council members as a group, it’s best to understand that each type of meeting has its own protocol and limitations. Different types of forums and meetings allow more time for interaction between Council and citizens than others. The purpose of these guidelines is to provide public notice for the different types of meetings and opportunities for engagement with the City Council of Lamar. Colorado’s Sunshine Law provides requirements for how public meetings are to be conducted to assure transparency in decision making.
