City of Lamar Shoutout Nominations!
To: Charles Martin, Rilley Jackman, and Edgar Robertson
From: Misty Warren
- We wanted to shoutout our maintenance crew! Charles and Rilley for the remodeling they have recently done in the library. They turned a storage room into our new media room! They didn't have much to go on, we told them our dreams for the room and what we needed to put in the room, and they took over from there! It turned out AMAZING!! This will allow our patrons a private area for telehealth appointments, vlogging, or podcasting. Charles and Rilley have also helped us revap our STEM Kit area and installed rods so that that we can hang the STEM kits up in a better area of the library. The STEM Kit area seemed cluttered and disorganized before this. This is a popular aspect of our library and now patrons can browse easier. And it is more pleasing visually. The biggest thing for us, is that they are ALWAYS willing to help. Charles, Rilley, and Edgar are always ready to assist in any way that they can. They are wonderful at setting up the Cultural Events Center for meetings and events. We have a great maintenance team and appreciate their hard work.
Human Resources Updates
High-Five to Our Newly Certified Flaggers!
Big cheers to Bert Abitia, Claude Crum, Dillon Buford, Ethan Koester, John K Owens Jr., Riley Comer, August Adame, Chris Pearson, Daniel Castaneda, Isaac Tate, Michael Bannister, Nigel Stieb, Robert Martinez, Tyler McTaggart, and Victor Salcedo for officially passing their CDOT Flagger Certification safety class!
These employees are now fully trained and ready to keep traffic flowing, work zones safe, and our crews protected. If you see them rocking those high-visibility vests, give them a shout-out (or a friendly wave)! Great job, team!
