Recycle Day is this coming weekend and we hope to see you there!

When: Every second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Where: 103 N. 2nd Street, Lamar, Colorado

Reminder: Green, plastic recycling bags may be purchased on-site for $5.00 per bag (cash only). Bags may also be purchased prior to Saturday at the The Cornerstone Resource Center or at the Public Works office. All plastic must be in the green bags in order to be recycled.

Acceptable Plastics: bottles and containers #1 #2 #5

Some common examples of these numbers can be (but are not limited to):

#1 PET: soda bottles, water bottles, most single use drinking bottles

#2 HDPE: milk jugs, detergent jugs, soap bottles, large supplement tubs, triple-rinsed chemical jugs

#5 PP: medicine bottles, dairy tubs

Non-Acceptable Plastics:

#3 PVC: bottles, containers, pipes

#4 LDPE: bottles, containers

#6 PS: compact disc jackets, tableware, containers, styrofoam

#7 Other: reusable bottles, etc.

No plastic pet food bags, feed bags, or frozen vegetable or meat bags.
