The City of Lamar is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team for the 2025 swimming pool season.  

Positions available:   

Concessions/Office

Duration:

May through August 2025; Interviews will be conducted in March

Common Responsibilities:

Assist with opening and closing swimming pool; enforce pool rules and regulations; swimming instruction; clean & maintain pool & equipment; test and balance pool water chemistry; deliver exceptional customer service and perform other tasks as needed. Hours of work vary.

Requirements:

• Must be 16 years or older
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification
• Water Safety Instructor certification required for lifeguard applicants
• All applicants must be able to make and count change.

Starting Hourly Pay:

• Lifeguards/Swim Instructors  - $17.15
• Concessions/Office -  $15.00
• Pool Manager -  $22.36
• Assistant Pool Manager - $20.45
• Lead Lifeguard - $18.72
